This is a blend of pure Timothy stands. It is combination of first and second cut Timothy from multiple fields and growing areas (irrigation and dryland from the Eastern Slopes of Alberta). Hay is blended for colour and texture.
 
Compressed Square Bales have a better feed quality per bale than "Regular 2 String Squares" as they are air washed to remove dust, mold and allergens. The process also removes heavy contaminants like rocks, metal and bone. With less foreign materials and less dust per bale, there is less need for concern about accidental indigestion of foreign bodies, insects or toxic weeds (ie: foxtail)
 
Bales are small size thus take up less room in storage and are easier to handle. They do not fall apart when being handled, so there is less loss in storage and transport. Compressed bales weigh aprox 40 lbs each.
 
Compressed Bales are available in a Timothy or Timothy Grass blend ONLY.  They do not contain alfalfa, as the alfalfa flower tends to break off of the stalk and become dusty in the compression process.
